PARIS, FRANCE: A photo diary of our Glamourous and Exciting 8-Day Ladies Trip
The highlights of our trip included (and yes, they are in order of what I loved the most):
-
Travelling to the top of the Eiffel Tower, and picnicking in the park beside it afterwards with wine and a locally sourced cheese platter
-
Taking a train to explore The Palace of Versailles, and then renting a golf cart to go off-roading in its elaborate gardens. (The palace has a dark and insanely interesting history of when it was occupied by King Louis XIV and his royal court, and all that happened through the French Revolution.)
-
Spend close to an entire day at Clignancourt flea and antiques market, one of the largest flea markets you have probably ever been to. It's a bit of a maze, so I recommend just keep wandering and checking out each stall. They're open Saturday 10 am-6 pm, Sunday 10 am-6 pm, Monday 11 am-5 pm.
-
Seeing the Louvre Museum and all its historical works. It is the world's largest museum and a historic monument in Paris. Don't miss the room with all the statues, and make sure to set aside a few hours to thoroughly enjoy all this museum has to offer.
-
Visiting the Notre-Dame de Paris, also known as Notre-Dame Cathedral. One of the girls in our group ran the stairs to the top and said the views of the city were jaw-dropping.
